Jonathan Apple

The Jonathan apple is a medium size apple, that has a thin red skin, with a sweet taste that can often have a tart tang to it. The Jonathan apple is a wonderful apple for fresh eating but also makes for a great freezing as well as cooking apple.

Jonathan apples are ripe and harvested mid-September and are medium size and red in color. 

Granny Smith

The Granny Smith is a chance seedling originating in Australia in 1868 and named after Maria Ann (Granny) Smith. The Granny Smith apple is tangy and tart. This is THE baking apple of choice as it has a deep dense texture that allows for longer cooking.

Granny Smith apples have a long harvest period beginning in late September when it is harvested bright green for holiday pies or let it hang on the tree and develop its yellow blush through October and November and the sweetness of this fine fresh eating apple come alive.

Golden Delicious

Golden Delicious apples are a great all-purpose apple with a sweet, rich and mild in flavor. They are large, firm, and crisp and are more tart than Red Delicious apples. They can be eaten fresh, used for cooking, or stored for a few months. Golden Delicious today is recognized as the same variety as Yellow Delicious

The apples ripen in September and October and are yellow when ripe.
